Breakfast Fruit Bowl

The basics

  1. Choose your combination of fruit.
  2. Add some nuts and/or seeds.
  3. Add some cinnamon (nutmeg words, too)

Other add-ins/ons:

  • Unsweetened coconut
  • Dried fruit
  • Unsweetened yogurt
  • Granola or muesli

Sample Recipes

Apple Strudel

  • 1 apple
  • a handful of raisins
  • chopped walnuts
  • a dash of cinnamon

Tropical Treat

  • 1 orange
  • 1 kiwi
  • 1 date
  • chopped pecans
  • unsweetened dried coconut
  • ground flax seeds

Banana Bowl

  • 1 small banana or 1/2 a larger one or, heck, use a big banana
  • 1 orange
  • a handful of cacao nibs
  • chopped almonds
  • unsweetened dried coconut

Berry Bowl

  • 1 cup of mixed berries – strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries
  • 1/2 cup of unsweetened yogurt (I use Forager’s non-dairy cashew yogurt)
  • 1/4 cup of granola or muesli

Be Creative

The sky is the limit. You’ll learn amounts of ingredient combinations that taste good to you. Hungry, make a bigger bowl. Not so hungry, make a smaller one. Starting tip: go heavy on the fruit and sparingly on the extras (you can always add more).
